Tokushima prefecture is located on the island of Shikoku, with the division of 24 municipalities including 8 cities, 15 towns and one village. Tokushima is the capital and Yokkaichi is the largest city of Tokushima Prefecture, with a population of 249 thousand in 2021. The neighboring prefectures are Kagawa Prefecture to the north, Ehime Prefecture to the west, and Kōchi Prefecture to the southwest.

• The 8 cities are Anan City, Awa City, Komatsushima City, Mima City, Miyoshi City, Naruto City, Tokushima City, and Yoshinogawa City.

Located on the island of Shikoku, Tokushima Prefecture has a population of 728,633 and an area of 4,146 km2. Tokushima is the capital and largest city of the prefecture, with major cities including Anan, Naruto, and Yoshinogawa. The prefecture is known for its agricultural resources, including the production of various vegetables, fruits, and other agricultural products. It is the nation’s largest supplier of cauliflower and lotus roots, and the fourth largest producer of carrots. Additionally, Tokushima is the only producer of Japanese indigo, a significant agricultural product in the region.

The prefecture has also seen the development of tech entrepreneurship schools, aiming to teach engineering, programming, designing, and business skills to students aged 15 to 20, reflecting a growing focus on technology and innovation. In terms of cultural significance, Tokushima is famous for the Awa Odori festival, held in mid-August, and its historic temples.
