Tochig prefecture is located in the Kantō region of Honshu, with the division of 25 municipalities. Utsunomiy is the capital of Tochig prefecture with a population of 1.9 million in 2021. The neighboring prefectures are Fukushima Prefecture to the north, Gunma Prefecture to the west, Saitama Prefecture to the south, and Ibaraki Prefecture to the southeast.
