Kalimantan Tengah Map has 14 regencies (kabupaten) and municipalities (Kota), with each regency or municipality as an individual shape. Capital and Major Cities

The capital of Central Kalimantan is Palangka Raya, which is also the largest city in the province. Other major cities include Banjarbaru and Tanjungpinang.

Economy

Agriculture is the primary occupation in Central Kalimantan. Major crops include rice, corn, cassava, sweet potatoes, peanuts, and soybeans. Additionally, the province engages in small-scale and cottage industries such as sawmilling, rice and flour milling, wood and timber processing, small-boat construction, weaving, and beadworking. However, the province’s economy has grown relatively slowly, partly due to the challenges posed by the extensive southern swamps and the difficulty of communication.

Central Kalimantan holds significance as one of the five provinces in Kalimantan, the Indonesian part of Borneo. It is known for its diverse population, with a significant proportion of indigenous Dayak people.
